Freeology is a wellness lifestyle company servicing Los Angeles and the South Bay. Our vision is to improve the physical and mental performance of individuals on a global scale. Through an integrated mind, body, and spirit approach, we provide services and resources that support disease prevention, cognitive development, optimal performance, emotional intelligence, and teamwork. We encourage a model of wellness that is sustainable and preventative. Freeology has a leading-edge on other lifestyle, health, and fitness brands through its innovative and forward thinking approach to healthcare, physical training, community development, and social responsibility. It is built on several years experience in professional sports, multi-media advertising, athletic fitness training, youth development, academic coaching, and nutrition.
Our philosophy recognizes that the systems of the body must function in a collaborative equilibrium for it to have optimal production. We refer to this as an optimal functioning body (O.F.B.) Imbalances and disruptions within the system can cause a multitude of mental and physical ailments. Developing one’s comprehension of the body and its systems, including how to fuel, train, care for and heal it, equips individuals with the tools to maintain balance and achieve optimal physical and mental function.
OBJECTIVES
PROBLEM WE SEEK TO ADDRESS:
Popular health and fitness models promote what we refer to as a ‘shortcut to health’ by providing solutions that temporarily treat symptoms and don’t necessarily address the root cause of illness. We recognize that our community disproportionately suffers from disease, chronic illness, poor focus and poor cognitive development largely as a result of deficient nutrition and lack of physical activity. Due to a lack of resources and limited access to information, they are unable to effectively cure their health issues.
An overwhelming number of Americans are being diagnosed with life threatening illnesses; heart disease and cancer are the leading cases of death in this country. Based on statistics and our own research, we have attributed the health crisis to three main root issues: imbalanced diet, insufficient physical activity, and chronic stress. Public services and institutions in our community don’t have the budget to provide necessary resources to assist individuals in improving the aforementioned issues. Poor health weakens the productivity of individuals and creates poorly functioning communities.
The rate of obesity has tripled from the 1950s to now. About 70% of adults are overweight or obese (CDC) and about one-in-three children and teens are overweight or obese (American Heart Association). Obesity causes serious health problems including diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol which can lead to heart attack and stroke.
Because the average American diet is mostly composed of overly processed foods (often consumed in large amounts) and very little whole, nutrient-rich foods, Americans are suffering from major nutrient deficiencies. According to The National Department of Health and Human Services and the American Cancer Society, poor nutrition is identified as one of the leading factors in the occurrence of heart disease, stroke, diabetes and 80-90% of all cancers.

well·ness:
a. Conscious, self-directed and evolving
process of achieving full potential
b. A state of complete physical, mental,
and social well-being, and not merely
the absence of disease or infirmity
Freeology’s holistic approach to healthy living institutes the interconnection of the following elements of wellness: Occupational, Emotional, Physical, Spiritual, Intellectual, and Social. These are interdependent elements that must function in a collaborative equilibrium. When any one is developed or utilized in isolation from another, the body will suffer from deficiencies. If they are each developed and utilized with equal vigor, then the body will operate at its most powerful levels. Imbalances and disruptions within this system can cause a multitude of mental and physical ailments. These ailments impede one’s ability to maximize his or her potential.
Through fitness and nutrition, Freeology uses the physical element as a catalyst to implement this wellness model. Our fitness and nutrition program is founded upon the enrichment and activation of physical intelligence—the body’s aptitude to develop its systems. We promote a self-sustaining model of maintaining health by equipping individuals with the tools to strengthen, condition, fuel and heal the body based on his/her own unique lifestyle and needs.
